A landscape photographer's life is not alway's an easy one

Ski out in blizzards to get that perfect photo.

Sounds awful but when there is a break in the storm you can get some fantastic photos. These are taken at Falls Creek Australia. I have skied away from the resort for about 6 hours and when the weather cleared I managed to get these images.

You don't get good photos from inside watching TV you must always go outside. .

Snow tip #1

Play around but as a good you usually under expose your photos by 2/3 of a stop.

Snow tip  #2

Be prepared for any weather condition.

Australian Alpine Huts

Snow in Australia

Hi everyone, like most of you throughout the world you might not realise that Australia has snow falls and a seasonal alpine area. Yesterday I went cross country skiing 22km to take these pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Wallace's hut,  Cattleman's Hut 11km of skiing from the nearest town. This hut is over 100 years old.
The Inside of the hut taken with a six second exposure, and yes I had to carry the tripod the 11km out to the hut and return.

Lots of hard work and fun

Australian outback animal?

Outback animal yes/no

Last year I was driving in the outback and discoverd at a distance what appeared to be a large animal, in fact it was a water tower for an abandoned train line converted to look like an animal of sorts. (Some people in the bush have just to much time)
