Outback Convertible

No roof, no doors and not roadworthy.

Once you leave the larger towns in Cape York, perspective changes and you discover things that you would never see in the larger towns. This heavily modified 4 wheel drive would never   pass muster or a roadworthy in Cairns or Cooktown but up in the cape country all things are possible.  This picture was taken at Hann River.

Emu in town

The Local Emu checks out the local Roadhouse

In my travels I have seen a lot of things but never have I seen an Emu in the middle of a town (be that a small one in far north Queensland).

Just an amazing thing to see. A brief travel note  though not overly hostile these large birds can have attitude and I would always advise people to take care and keep you distance.

Australian Flower

Tropical Flower

One of the Great things about bing an Australian landscape photographer who specialises in Fine Art Photography, is that spirit of discovery that you develop whilst traveling the Australian outback. I love to travel and capture the raw beauty of Australia. If anyone can help me out with the name of this flower that would be great.

You can see more pictures of brilliant plants and flowers at my website
